Textbook distribution for St. Gabriel Online School is housed École Secondaire Notre Dame High School (50 Lees Street Red Deer, AB). We are located in “The Commons" at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School (formerly known as the library). Access to The Commons is through the main doors of École Secondaire Notre Dame High School where you are asked to check in with the receptionist and she will direct you to the area.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For students who live outside the one hour driving time to Red Deer, textbooks are shipped to your nearest Greyhound Depot.

When returning textbooks at the end of a course, please return books to École Secondaire Notre Dame High School The Commons. If your books were shipped to you, we ask that you package them securely and take them to your nearest Greyhound Depot, attaching the pre-paid shipping label and sending them to us collect.

When textbooks are ready for pick-up or have been shipped to you, you will receive an email advising you that they are ready to be picked up or that they have been shipped. You should be expecting a call from Greyhound for pick up within a few days.

We thank you for the prompt return of textbooks when you are done with them! The textbook inventory needs to be received and reassigned quickly and your attention to returns is greatly appreciated.

School Learning Materials

School Library

The school library manages the distribution of learning resources. Individual arrangements are made for students living outside of the Red Deer area or accessing St. Gabriel Online School courses from within a local school.

Text resources are available at the Red Deer school library. If a student lives more than an hour’s drive away from Red Deer, then the texts are shipped to the local Greyhound depot closest to the Mailing Address specified in the Registration form.

Middle School Students

Middle school students must return their learning resources to their designated final exam writing centre in June.

Students not returning their learning resources to the local exam writing centre must ship their learning resources to the school library by June 30. Books not returned on time will be invoiced to the credit card number left as security. Cash deposits are not refunded until all the student resources are returned.

High School Students

All High School learning resources are made available to students during the third week of each semester.

Students who make a timetable change after the second week of the semester are responsible for any shipping charges.

All high school learning resources must be returned to the student’s designated final exam writing centre in January and June. Proctored students send their books directly to the school library. It is especially critical in January since the books are re-distributed to second-semester classes, helping the school reduce its costs for learning resources. Note any textbooks returned late may be invoiced to the credit card number left as security.

Student returning their textbooks on time are eligible for a full Book Deposit refund.
