Summer school registration starts May 1, 2017.

 

 

 

 

Current RDCRS students follow these simplified directions to register:

  • PowerSchool parent portal.  Use the username/password you were given as a parent (if unsure contact current school for this info)
  • Click SCHOOL ENGAGE (last button on the left side)
  • On the left sidebar, there is a tab called students, you will see your child’s name you wish to register, click on their name
  • Right side of screen fill out the St. Gabriel Summer School form
  • Download a birth certificate/citizenship papers where it asks you to (mandatory)
  • Use the arrows to move you from page to page and remember to hit SAVE on the last page

New or Former RDCRS students follow these simplified directions to register: 

  • Create NEW school engage account
  • Fill out application
  • Download a birth certificate/citizenship papers where it asks you too (mandatory)
  • Use for the arrows to move you from page to page and remember to hit SAVE on the last page

Please note, at this time we are unable to accept your credit card payment. Please complete the registration form and click the submit and pay button. You will see a pop-up invoice page. Please click cancel on the invoice payment page. We will contact you within 7-10 business days to make your credit card payment through School Engage once your application has been reviewed.

Deadline Friday, June 23 12:00 noon. We will NOT accept ANY registrations after this date and time.

Please attach a copy of the student's birth certificate or Canadian citizenship papers (a passport will NOT be acceptable to support your Canadian citizenship). Immigration papers are required to support immigration status.

Summer School Fees:

Summer School (non-refundable):

  • $50 Registration Fee (not per course, non-refundable) *Mature students see below for fees
  • Shipping and Handling (outside of Red Deer area – 1 hour away)  (Please note: a shipping & handling fee may apply based on enrollment in selected courses. You will be invoiced $20 if this fee applies.)  
  • Book security deposit $80 per course/max $240 (if textbooks are returned you will not be charged) 

Summer School *Mature Student (non-refundable):

  • A mature student is 20 years of age, or older, as of September 1 of the current school year
  • Course fee (per course): $500 for 5 credit course; $300 for a 3 credit course
  • Shipping and Handling (outside of Red Deer area – 1 hour away)  (Please note: a shipping & handling fee may apply based on enrollment in selected courses. You will be invoiced $20 if this fee applies.)
  • $80 Deposit per course on each textbook (if textbooks are returned you will not be charged)

Foreign students visiting Canada writing diploma exams will be charged a fee of $50 (including GST) for each diploma exam written, paid directly to Alberta Education through https://public.education.alberta.ca/PASI/myPass.

Please note school fees are non-refundable and due at time of registration.

For those in need of financial assistance, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools offers families the ability to waive school fees. You can apply for financial assistance, by filling out the School Fee Waiver Form. Your eligibility will be assessed by your school Principal on an individual basis.
